EJR Consulting Ltd was founded by Dr Jane Rennie. It provides asset management consultancy services primarily to utility businesses. The company focuses on working in partnership with our customers to meet their needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.

Recent assignments include work for Severn Trent  Water, Ofgem, London Trams, and Anglian Water and range from support for regulatory reviews to wider advice on asset management processes.

Dr Jane Rennie is the principal consultant. She has nearly 30 years experience in the utility industries. She has an MA in Physics from Cambridge University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham University.  Following a variety of roles in technical support of power stations, Jane joined Powergen’s international arm in Thailand in 1995 and was a Commercial Manager leading negotiations for power station project developments and acquisitions in a number of Asian countries. Before setting up her own business, she also had a number of other roles including Network Strategy Manager at East Midlands Electricity (2002-2004) where she was responsible both for internal business investment planning and for the capital investment submission for the regulatory price review. As part of this, she led the development and use of a variety of innovative and successful asset management tools. 

Jane Rennie is actively involved in the Institute of Asset Management as a Council member and as member of committees and working groups.
